[00:07] amen
[00:10] Tonight we are going
to look at what I will call the;
Three Steps to Freedom
[00:10] and how it relates to
both the captive and the deliverance
operator.
[00:11] In any deliverance from
possession or oppression there are
three stages or steps.
[00:12] Now in all three of
these stages the opp must be ready
and available to work in them.
[00:12] These three stages are
talked about in the book of James.
[00:13] And if the operator is
to be successful in the deliverance
session he must know about all three.
† kjv james 4:1-3 †
From whence come wars and fightings
among you? Come they not hence, even
of your lusts that war in your members?
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and
desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye
fight and war, yet ye have not, because
ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not,
because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume
it upon your lusts.
† kjv james 4:4-7 †
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye
not that the friendship of the world is
enmity with God? whosoever therefore will
be a friend of the world is the enemy
of God. Do ye think that the scripture
saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth
in us lusteth to envy?
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he
saith, God resisteth the proud, but
giveth grace unto the humble. Submit
yourselves therefore to God. Resist
the devil, and he will flee from you.
[00:15] Now in these scriptures we
can find the three stages or steps to a
deliverance.
[00:15] These three stages are:
[00:15] Pre-deliverance Counseling:
This stage is where the operator must
introduce and show Jesus to the captive
bringing forth the love, peace, and
freedom through Jesus to their tormented
lives. This may take more then one
session to bring the captive to the
point for the second stage. This requires
about 30 % of the deliverance time.
[00:16] It is at this time that you
prepare the captive for the struggle
ahead. And give them the hope they are
going to need to face the struggle,
knowing that Jesus is going to save them
and protect them.
[00:17] Step Two is Deliverance
This is the actual combat phase of the
deliverance session. At this time the
operator will be facing the demon
overlords and going into battle expelling
them from the captive's life. It is when
the operator must let the power of God
flow through him allowing the guidance
of the Holy Spirit to dispatch the demons
and give comfort to the captive during
the trials.
[00:21] This is the time when the
operator operates the weapons at his
disposal for: binding---expelling---
sealing the doorways--- and cleaning
out the strongholds in the captives life
that the demons have built.
kjv james 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist
the devil, and he will flee from you.
[00:25] The third step or stage is
Post-Deliverance Counseling;>BR>
This although the last stage of a
deliverance session is the most
crucial. It is also the hardest for
the deliverance operator and the
delivered. Always after the expelling
of demons, the delivered is at the
most vulnerable time for demonic
attack and retribution.
[00:26] Demons hate to lose their
property and will try to recapture
their prizes. They will continually
wait for a opportune time to strike.
[00:28] So they will even though
they have been expelled try to attack
in all areas areas until the delivered
is spiritually mature in the Lord and
can handle the onslaught of the demons.
This is usually 50% of the deliverance
time.
[00:30] Now the reason for the post
deliverance stage being so hard is as
follows:
1.Sometimes after the deliverance stage
lesser demons may still be hidden in
the delivered's life lurking in the
personality of the delivered.
2.Other demons may try and enter a
partially open doorway to exploit a
weakness in the delivered's life that
is not yet strong.
3.The delivered is just learning to walk
in victory and obedience to God and is
like a babe still in the stage of nursing
4.It takes time to have spiritual healings
of wounded souls, spirit, and memories
to be renewed.
5.The delivered is going to be assaulted
aggressively by the demons who will
attempt to regain what has been lost to
the Holy Spirit.
6.The delivered may have to return and
live in a hostile environment where
demonic forces are active and working.
[00:31] This last one could be in
their home, work, school, or even in
their church.
[00:32] Do not be shocked about the
last one mentioned. For in some churches
the demons of pride, judgmental attitudes,
and vanity are active and strong.
[00:33] And they will not give the
newly delivered a chance
[00:33] These things are normal
though and should not cause fear.
[00:34] Or frustration in the operator
for through the Holy Spirit we will emerge
victorious.
kjv 1 john 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have
overcome them: because greater is he that
is in you, than he that is in the world.
[00:35] If these attacks are handled
properly then they will serve to strengthen
and build our confidence in the Lord up and
not destroy or tear us down.
[00:36] They will strengthen and not
weaken the participants.
[00:37] Now it is up to the operator
to show the delivered their place in the
Lord. And to help them realize that they
can defeat the demons that they have lived
with for so long through the Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ.
[00:38] The newly freed must realize
the following about them selves and it is
up to the the deliverance opp to show them
this. They must see that:
[00:39] 1. Christ is our life.
2. Christ is our Lord.
3. We are in Him and He is
in us.
4. We will be seated with
Him in the heavenlies.
5. We have the Rhema (Word
of God) to stand on.
6. We have the sword of the
spirit to battle with.
7. We have the full armor
of God at our disposal
for victory.
[00:40] The delivered must remember:
[00:40] 1. Know who he is in Christ.
2. Identify any areas of sin
in his life so as to:
>>>Confess them>>>Repent
of them>>>and accept the
cleansing and forgiveness
of them from God.
[00:40] The deliverance operator must
make sure that the delivered understand that
if he accidentally makes a mistake that God
will forgive him so that the demons can not
use condemnation on the delivered to open a
door and retake him. This does not mean the
person can just willfully sin but we all
make mistakes.
[00:41] The deliverd must be taught to
break any hold of any demons that may try
and attach themselves to him. Now this
phase is more of what we can call a truth
encounter not a power encounter by the
participants. This is when the operator
has to ask for the Holy Spirit to check
and show any areas of sin that must be
dealt with to ensure that there will be no
more attacks in the delivered's life.
[00:41] In the scripture
kjv james 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist
the devil, and he will flee from you.
[00:42] amen
[00:42] We find the following
commands that both the operator and the
delivered must follow in order to have
true victory through Jesus over the demons
of darkness.
1. Submit to God:--This means total
commitment to Him. This means giving
Him everything and every area of your
life. It means trusting and following
no matter what is in front of you.
This is the key to the pathway of
defeating demons and keeping the flow
of the Holy Spirit in your life.
2. Resist the devil:--This means using
the Word of God daily in your life to
defeat the demons that may come against
you. Standing on the promises of God and
trusting Him for the victory. Letting the
Holy Spirit operate in your life to warn
and inform of demonic assaults in your
daily living. And letting it lead you in
the handling of it.
[00:45] It is through the Word of God
and our trust in Him , that we have no fear
of Satan or his legions of darkness.
[00:45] amen
[00:45] These are both offensive and
defensive weapons in the hands of a child of
God.
[00:46] Now it is for both the
deliverance operator and the delivered to
remember in the face of battle:
1. The tribulation and afflictions faced in
the battle with the demons of hell have
been faced by all children of God; past,
present, and during all the times in the
history of man. So as they overcame the
enemy, so can we for Satan has never and
will never change his tactics.
2. God is full of grace and love for us.
3. God is a God of glory and power. He has
never lost a battle and likewise He never
will. He will not let His children fall
by the enemy sword but make them
overcomers.
4. Warfare suffering is for good although it
may hurt at times, these tribulations
have the purpose of making us strong and
confident. Dwawing us closer to God.
(Remember God will never have us face more then we can handle through Him.) [00:48] We are also told to draw near to God and that He will draw near to us.
Through worship, praise, prayer, studying the Word, and faith we will see that He is our
protector and the power that we have to defeat the enemy.
[00:50] We are told that Satan will flee if we resist him.
[00:50] But we must remember that it is not by us but by Jesus in us that we have this power.
[00:50] Jesus has already won the battle!
[00:50] amen
[00:51] We are also told that as we draw near to God He will draw near to us.
kjv Romans 8:37-39
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
[00:52] In closing I would like to tell a little story that I hope will be a example of what we have been talking about.
A small child is awakened in the middle of
the night by a thunderstorm. Lightening and thunder is shaking the walls and lighting up the room the wind is moaning out side has
it passes through the trees. In his small voice he cries out for daddy over and over.
The fear inside him is growing has he sees
the actions of the storm and then suddenly
the door opens and in walks daddy.
[00:55] He picks him up in his arms and whisper in his ear it is ok. There is nothing but rain, wind, thunder, and lightening but it will not harm you
[00:56] So daddy takes the boy down
to the living room and sits in his chair
with the small boy in his arms feeling safe and secure.
[00:56] Now as he slowly goes to
sleep he knows his daddy will protect him from harm sleeping safe and secure in the
loving arms of his father.
[00:57] And so it is for the deliverance operator and the delivered.
[00:57] For God puts His loving arms
around us and whispers peace and comfort in our ears to calm our souls. For we can rest assured that in the Fathers ands no harm can come to us. And no demon or Satan himself
can harm the deliverance operator or the newly delivered captive.
[00:59] In this we have confidence. [00:59] Glory to God!
[00:59] Thank you Father God.Oh how I
praise you.
[01:00] For the enemy has been made
powerless. And we his children are victorious through him.
[01:00] amen
