LAUNCHING INTO THE DEEP
TRUSTING THE NAVIGATOR

[23:42] let us pray [23:43] Lord we thank you that we can come in this way [23:43] i_b_a_case yes lord [23:43] we thank you for your word and for CRONUS's willingness to bring it [23:43] father I ask that you would bless him abundantly [23:44] minister to him as he ministers your word to us [23:44] bring all here that needs this study [23:44] lord it seems like Satan wishes this room to close [23:44] but we bind all interference in the name of Jesus [23:44] lord this is your room [23:44] i_b_a_case yes Lord [23:44] and what we do here is for you and your gospel [23:45] lord I ask that you would bring people here again that want to hear your word [23:45] and lord anoint CRONUS tonight as he brings your word [23:45] i_b_a_case yes Lord [23:45] bless us and him [23:45] and may your will be done [23:45] i_b_a_case yes Father [23:45] in Jesus name we ask it [23:45] amen [23:45] i_b_a_case Amen [23:45] amen [23:46] CRONUS-KEDAR changes topic to "Launching Into The Deep---Trusting In The Navigator" [23:47] Tonight we are going to look into a topic that is needed for us as we go forward now to do the Lords work. [23:48] In the old times there was a commerce that used the oceans for the method of travel [23:48] carthagians--phonecians-- and other sea going people begin to transport products by sea [23:48] But these sailors never left the site of land. [23:49] they would sail the Mediterranean by staying within site of land [23:49] as they made their way to their destination [23:49] all of them would use the familiar landmarks of rock cliffs and land forms to make their way [23:50] but this also made it a long trip for many to get from one port to another [23:50] but then one day a sailor decide to not follow the norm and ventured out across the Mediterranean instead of taking the familiar sea lanes that were close to the land [23:51] He did not know what was ahead of him and into the unknown he ventured [23:52] and as he got out of the site of land and the familiar he surly felt a little nervous but by using the sun and the stars he made his way [23:52] and reached his destination port quicker then any other merchant ships [23:53] with time other sailor who saw the profit of following the example begin to sail across the Mediterranean and not around it [23:53] they left the safe security of the shallows and launched out into the deep [23:54] Soon these sailors begin to broaden their area and the phonecians even made it to Britain and even possibly further [23:54] and all of this was because one sailor decided to step up and take the lead [23:54] and go forward into the unknown [23:55] having faith in the sky above to lead him [23:55] today God is looking for some brave people to take their ships and launch out into the deep for Him [23:56] Today He is looking for those who have the faith to go forward for Him and reach the lost in areas that we may feel uncomfortable in [23:57] But this is what separates a follower and a leader for the glory of the Lord [23:57] We have been called out to reach the lost- [23:58] niv 1peter 2:9-10 niv 1peter 2:11But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. niv 1peter 2:10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. [23:58] kjv 1 peter 2:11-12 1 Peter 2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; 1 Peter 2:12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. [23:59] We have been chosen by God to reach a lost world [23:59] and this we can not do if we stay in the comfort zone [00:00] If we stay in the comfort zone like the sailors who stayed close to the land [00:00] we will reach our final destination of reaching the lost [00:00] but it will only happen if they come into our comfort zone [00:01] for us to really be effective we have to step out on faith in God and go forward into the unknown to spread the news of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ [00:01] We have to launch into the deep and trust our navigator to see us through [00:02] Perhaps God has been speaking to you asking you to take that step and launch into a new area where you may not feel comfortable [00:03] but God is with you always and will never let you fall [00:03] In truth the more you launch into the deep the more you have to rely on Him [00:03] and the more you rely on Him [00:03] the more your confidence in Him grows [00:03] and you spiritually begin to mature [00:04] this does not mean you are to be part of the world you are trying to reach but it means you should be part of the answer to the world [00:04] of the lost and hurting [00:05] niv romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. [00:06] It is by launching out that we can do this [00:06] for people look to the one that is in the forefront [00:07] this is both good and bad [00:07] first if you seem to be taking a lead for God's work you become a very visible target for the enemy [00:08] The enemy will always try and take out those who take the lead for doing God's work [00:08] for like the first sailors that went across others who see you moving forward in confidence in God [00:09] and will follow your example [00:09] niv Matthew 5:14 You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. [00:09] niv john 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. [00:10] If we have the faith to trust Him and launch out into the deep we will do great things for the Lord by Him working in us [00:11] For us to launch out into the deep we must have courage to trust in God and His promises that He will not leave us to fall [00:11] We must take Him at His word and cling to His promises as we go into the unknown areas and reach the lost for Him [00:12] For He said greater works we will do [00:12] to show a lost world the glory of God [00:12] and how do we show the glory of God [00:12] we show it by going forward for Him in courage that He is our trusted navigator [00:13] niv Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." [00:14] Let us look at some who have launched out into the deep before us and see what will happen when one trusts the navigator and launches into the deep [00:14] Abraham [00:14] He left the comfort of his family and went out to a new land on only the Word of the Lord [00:14] in a new unknown Abraham became the father of many [00:15] natural father of the jews and spiritual father of the gentiles that would later come to God through Jesus [00:16] He launched out into the deep and did not conform to others [00:16] Abraham trusted the great navigator and went into the deep [00:16] Moses is another who launched out into the deep for God [00:17] As a lowly shepherd he was comfortable [00:17] living a good life [00:17] but the great navigator needed another to launch out into the deep [00:17] and called Moses out [00:17] Moses left the security of His grazing pastures and went to Egypt and faced the mighty pharaoh [00:18] 1 man against a nation [00:18] but he trusted in God [00:18] this shows us that one who is solely sold out to the Lord will overcome any obstacle [00:19] but to do this Moses had to launch out into the deep trusting in the great navigator [00:19] as he went across from the normal to the exceptional in service for God [00:19] Joshua and Caleb also launched out into the deep [00:20] and they both were heros for God in His land [00:20] they became leaders [00:20] For example [00:20] there were 12 spies sent out to spy the land [00:20] how many can you name [00:20] not counting Joshua and Caleb [00:21] can you tell me who the other 10 were [00:21] well the truth is out of 100 people only 1 might answer this question [00:21] Why? [00:22] why can we not remember the other 10 spies [00:22] simple [00:22] They did not launch out into the deep so they did not get noticed [00:23] their deeds were forgotten [00:23] but Joshua and Caleb stood up for God [00:23] they answered the call of the great navigator and trusted Him to see them through' [00:24] as they launched out into the deep for God [00:24] Daniel, Shadrack, Meshach, and Abednego are others who launched out for God [00:24] they laid aside their fear and trusted in God to pull them through [00:25] we today need not fear as we go out and launch our ships of life into the deep [00:25] we have the same God as they did working for us [00:26] He is also our great navigator to trust in [00:26] You are the key to reaching the lost world [00:26] and defeating the enemy through Jesus [00:27] but if you stay in the comfort zone then you will be like the sailors we talked about who traveled along the shoreline [00:27] You can launch out into the deep if you believe in the words of our Lord [00:27] you can launch out into the deep if you will trust Him to guide you [00:28] niv romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. [00:29] you are an overcomer, and can surmount any unknown that confronts you if you will trust in Him that you are part of [00:29] Now in the story I talked of how the first sailors to go across the Mediterranean sea were fearful [00:30] especially when all around them all they could see was water [00:30] with no familiar land marks [00:30] but they went on across [00:30] likewise we when we get out into the deep for God may sometimes feel we are all alone in what we face [00:31] as we launch out to the deep for God [00:31] but remember this He is faithful to see us through [00:31] niv romans 8:38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, [00:31] niv romans 8:39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. [00:32] we have no fear to face as we launch out into the deep [00:32] for our Lord will be with us all the way [00:32] what ever the Lord is asking of you today [00:33] be not fearful to go forward [00:33] launch out into the deep [00:33] For Him [00:33] If you will do this He will lead you [00:33] guide you [00:33] protect you [00:34] and you will win many for the Lord [00:34] you will save the lost [00:34] heal the sick [00:34] and free the captives [00:34] through Jesus working through You [00:34] God does not want us in a comfort zone [00:35] comfort zones will cause us to fall asleep [00:35] comfort zones will stop us from seeing the vision the Lord has for us [00:35] we will still be saved [00:35] but we will not bear much fruit for Him [00:36] the comfort zone is there and we can stay in it [00:36] and still be with our Lord [00:36] but God wants us to launch out in the deep for Him' [00:36] perhaps the Lord is speaking to you about working in the ministry here [00:36] and it is a new area for you [00:37] a unknown area for you [00:37] and you may feel uncomfortable at first [00:37] but today God needs those who will step forward for Him and say: [00:37] I AM HERE SEND ME [00:38] God is waiting for you [00:38] to answer the call [00:38] for He is saying to us all [00:38] LAUNCH OUT INTO THE DEEP [00:38] TRUST THE GREAT NAVIGATOR [00:39] and our great navigator is our Lord and Saviour [00:39] JESUS CHRIST NOW AND FOREVER [00:39] GLORY TO HIM [00:39] I AM HERE SEND ME LORD [00:39] I WILL LAUNCH OUT INTO THE DEEP [00:40] FOR YOU [00:40] God bless you all tonight
