ENTERING THE HOLY OF HOLIES
WITH JESUS

[23:13] CRONUS-KEDAR changes topic to "Bible Study---Entering The Holy of Holies With Jesus" [23:13] Father [23:13] we come before you again [23:13] and we thank you that we can come and study your word again [23:13] thank you for CRONUS and his willingness to teach [23:13] lord bless him as he does this study [23:14] anoint him afresh [23:14] lord as we listen to your word [23:14] we ask that you would help us apply what we hear [23:14] lord bless all who come here for this study [23:14] and lord bring in anyone that you wish to be here [23:14] have your way [23:15] in Jesus name we ask it [23:15] amen [23:15] amen [23:15] atenderheart amen [23:15] Bible Study: Entering Into The Holy Of Holies With Jesus [23:16] for the past few studies we have been looking at how we can relate the Word to our lives today [23:17] and try to find knowledge that we can use to help us in our daily living [23:17] Last night there was a study here on rising early [23:18] so tonight we will take some time and hopefully journey into the Holy of Holies With Jesus as our guide [23:18] And learn how to relate it to our daily living [23:18] Many studies have been done on the tabernacle [23:19] and their symbols [23:19] but tonight we will not be looking at the symbols of the tabernacle [23:19] For tonight we are going to go into the holy of Holies [23:19] as a priest would have in old testament times [23:20] and from it see how we are in relation to Jesus [23:20] This is a preliminary study for the series coming up that will be called [23:21] The Blood--the Cross--And the Stone [23:21] In our daily living in the world we can sometimes lose track of who we are in Christ [23:22] sometimes one may feel that they have lost what they have found in Jesus [23:22] But the truth is you are a child of God [23:22] and as such you have a right to enter the Holy of Holies through Jesus [23:23] who made a way for you [23:23] It is the holy of holies that the presence of the Lord stayed [23:23] untouchable by all but the priest who went in there once a year for the sin atonement of Israel [23:24] And it was only by the blood of the sacrifice that he could enter and not be struck down by the Lord [23:24] But we today have a glorious privilege [23:25] we can enter the Holy of Holies and be with the Lord together [23:25] We can do this because by Jesus we are priests who can do so [23:26] niv 1 peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. [23:26] niv 1 peter 2:10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. [23:27] We have a privilege and a duty to obey [23:27] for when we are in prayer whether it be morn --noon-- or night we go into the holy of holies in prayer where we meet and feel the presence of the Lord [23:27] It is there we make our petitions known to God [23:28] Thanks to the sacrifice of Jesus you have this right and privilege given to you if you will accept it [23:29] After Jesus was put into the tomb [23:29] he rose in three days [23:29] and when Mary saw Him she reached for Him [23:29] and He told her not to touch Hm for He had not risen to His father [23:29] why was this [23:30] it was because He had to fulfill the duties of the priest and pay the price for the sins of mankind [23:30] that is you and me [23:30] Let us look at this [23:31] kjv Hebrews 9:1-4 Hebrews 9:1 Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. Hebrews 9:2 For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary. Hebrews 9:3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; Hebrews 9:4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; [23:32] niv Hebrews 9:5-8 Hebrews 9:5 Above the ark were the cherubim of the Glory, overshadowing the atonement cover. But we cannot discuss these things in detail Hebrews 9:6 When everything had been arranged like this, the priests entered regularly into the outer room to carry on their ministry. Hebrews 9:7 But only the high priest entered the inner room, and that only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance. Hebrews 9:8 The Holy Spirit was showing by this that the way into the Most Holy Place had not yet been disclosed as long as the first tabernacle was still standing. [23:33] ok now here we see that the things that had been hidden in the tabernacle of old which only the priest would see [23:33] is now open to all [23:34] It was by the priest applying the blood in front of Him that he was able to enter the holy of holies [23:34] and he could do this only once a year [23:34] but glory to God we can enter it daily [23:35] every time we start to pray [23:35] For in prayer one is applying the blood before them as they make their way in [23:35] the old tabernacle was in a tent [23:35] today we each have a tabernacle in our hearts [23:35] in our lives [23:35] in our souls [23:36] this is where Jesus lives in us [23:36] and it is by prayer that we can enter into this place [23:36] of holiness [23:37] but it is because Jesus went before you and me and gave the ultimate sin offering to the altar of the Lord [23:37] why should we feel we are alone [23:37] and unworthy [23:37] Jesus thought us worthy enough that he died for us and paid a high price for us [23:38] so that we could have the privilege of going into the holy of Holies [23:38] niv Hebrews 9:6-7 Hebrews 9:6 When everything had been arranged like this, the priests entered regularly into the outer room to carry on their ministry. Hebrews 9:7 But only the high priest entered the inner room, and that only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance. [23:39] you see the enemy would like to keep us out in the outer court of this place [23:39] for he knows in the holy of holies we will meet and be touched mightily by God [23:40] see it said they regularly went to this area to do their ministry [23:40] today I say to you all [23:40] many today are staying in the outer court [23:40] where they are working for God [23:40] but the outer court is not where the real presence of the Lord is [23:41] we can work out there but if we are to be really effective in working for God today [23:41] we have to be willing to go on into the Holy of Holies [23:41] and come face to face with the presence of the Lord in our lives [23:41] and on our lives [23:42] if you want to see real power then it is in the holy of holies we must go [23:42] with our prayers [23:42] Jesus made the way for us [23:42] but it is up to us to go on in and do the work he has for us [23:43] niv Hebrews 9:8-9 Hebrews 9:8 The Holy Spirit was showing by this that the way into the Most Holy Place had not yet been disclosed as long as the first tabernacle was still standing. Hebrews 9:9 This is an illustration for the present time, indicating that the gifts and sacrifices being offered were not able to clear the conscience of the worshiper. [23:43] in the first tabernacle there was no salvation from sin [23:44] it could be rolled back every year but the sin was still there [23:44] Today through Jesus that sin is null and void [23:44] in the life of a child of God [23:44] today we have the privilege of seeing what was only a shadow then [23:45] and our conscious can be cleaned thanks to our belief in Jesus and accepting who we are in Him [23:45] Satan is trying to keep us out of the holy of holies [23:46] because through Jesus you are a royal priesthood [23:46] to do the work of the Lord for the glory of the Lord [23:46] Now let us move a little ahead [23:47] remember that Jesus told Mary not to touch Him for He had not ascended to his father [23:47] Listen and see for we are now about to journey with Jesus into the holy of holies [23:47] and see what was done [23:47] niv Hebrews 9:11-12 Hebrews 9:11 When Christ came as high priest of the good things that are already here, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not man-made, that is to say, not a part of this creation. Hebrews 9:12 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption. [23:48] Jesus carried His own blood before Him [23:48] He entered the holy of holies with His own precious blood before Him [23:49] and paid the price for our sins [23:49] imagine Him laying the blood for you and me at the altar [23:49] imagine Him thinking of each of us as he did so [23:50] your name as well as mine was on his mind [23:50] now this is not in the bible [23:50] but if He knew the beginning from the end [23:50] does it not reason that it was for us he paid this price [23:51] and sadly many of us do not accept the privilege and stay in the outer courts [23:51] and then we wonder why we do not have the full power of the lord working in our lives [23:51] It is by prayer and sacrificing the time needed to get into the holy of holies that we will feel His presence [23:52] and Jesus did this once [23:52] He paid the price once [23:52] it was not a yearly thing [23:52] our debts He paid in full [23:52] at that time [23:53] and my brothers and sisters this tabernacle is in you and me [23:53] niv Hebrews 9:13-14 Hebrews 9:13 The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. Hebrews 9:14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! [23:54] Jesus made the way for you and me to serve the Lord in the holy of holies [23:54] He is our salvation [23:54] and our mercy [23:55] by Him we can work for God and He can work through us [23:55] can you not see that you are special and Jesus has made you a priest for Him [23:55] Satan says you are not worthy [23:56] but Jesus says you are priceless [23:56] Satan says you have no right to go in [23:56] Jesus says I gave so you can come in [23:56] He gave one time for us [23:57] and now it is up to us to either follow on in or stay in the outer courts [23:57] where we will have the lord [23:57] with us [23:57] but for us to become mighty workers for God we have to get into His presence and let Him work on us [23:57] train us [23:57] and love us [23:57] as His children [23:58] and he wants us to run over the enemy [23:58] and do not be depressed [23:58] niv Hebrews 9:15-22 Hebrews 9:15 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance--now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant. Hebrews 9:16 In the case of a will, it is necessary to prove the death of the one who made it, Hebrews 9:17 because a will is in force only when somebody has died; it never takes effect while the one who made it is living. Hebrews 9:18 This is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood. Hebrews 9:19 When Moses had proclaimed every commandment of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves, together with water, scarlet wool and branches of hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people. Hebrews 9:20 He said, "This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep." Hebrews 9:21 In the same way, he sprinkled with the blood both the tabernacle and everything used in its ceremonies. Hebrews 9:22 In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. [00:00] you have been forgiven by the sacrifice of Jesus [00:00] His blood has set you free [00:01] and by it you can enter into the holy of holies in prayer to be in the presence of the Lord [00:01] niv Hebrews 9:23-24 Hebrews 9:23 It was necessary, then, for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. Hebrews 9:24 For Christ did not enter a man-made sanctuary that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God's presence. [00:01] glory to God [00:02] amen [00:02] we do not have to be satisfied with a copy [00:02] a example [00:02] a symbol [00:02] we can go into the real thing in prayer [00:02] we can touch our lord in prayer [00:02] and praise God [00:03] in the holy of holies He can touch us [00:03] Jesus can touch you and me [00:03] Satan does not want you to see this [00:03] for when one starts going into the real holy of holies in prayer [00:04] Satan knows he is doomed to be defeated by the child of God who knows who he is in God [00:04] niv Hebrews 9:25-26 Hebrews 9:25 Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own. Hebrews 9:26 Then Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. [00:05] See here [00:05] Jesus made this once and only once [00:05] you do not have to do it again and again [00:05] if you want to be in the holy of holies and feel the real presence of God in your life [00:05] you can [00:06] through Jesus you have the right [00:06] and in prayer you can activate that right [00:06] niv Hebrews 9:27-28 Hebrews 9:27 Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, Hebrews 9:28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. [00:07] when you pray [00:07] you are entering into the outer courts [00:08] but if you will go on [00:08] keep praying [00:08] in the mornings [00:08] during the day [00:08] and into the nights [00:08] you will be in the holy of holies [00:08] for through Jesus you have that right [00:08] for He paid the price for you [00:08] it is your inheritance [00:09] look at this verse again my friends [00:09] niv Hebrews 9:13-14 Hebrews 9:13 The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. Hebrews 9:14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! [00:10] Jesus offered himself for you [00:10] this means you are priceless as I said earlier [00:10] when the enemy comes at you and says you are not worthy [00:10] when he comes and says you have no right [00:11] when he says [00:11] why try you are not righteous [00:11] so you can not enter into the holy of holies [00:11] look him in the face and say [00:12] yes I am unworthy [00:12] but it is through Jesus my Lord and Saviour [00:12] and His sacrifice that I am worthy [00:12] look at him and say [00:12] yes I have no right [00:13] in myself [00:13] but through Jesus I am right [00:13] look him in the eye and say [00:13] yes I am not righteous in myself [00:14] but Jesus who is in me has made it so through Him I have righteousness [00:14] and through Jesus I have the right to enter into the holy of holies [00:14] I am a child of God [00:15] through Jesus I have a inheritance [00:15] Now as Satan comes again [00:15] and tries to belittle you [00:15] say [00:15] through Jesus I have the right [00:16] and as a child of God I will through Jesus defeat you [00:16] I will through Jesus [00:16] free your captives [00:16] I will through Jesus heal the sick [00:16] mend the broken [00:16] but above all else through Jesus from the holy of holies [00:16] I will defeat you [00:17] and take back what you have stolen [00:17] from my family [00:17] my friends [00:17] and from all that I come in contact with [00:18] remember that the priest went into the holy of holies to help the people [00:19] well we are the priests that are to help a lost world for Jesus [00:19] through Jesus we are able to do this [00:19] not on our own but as tools in the Lord's hands to save His people [00:20] all the world [00:20] niv 1 peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. [00:20] niv 1 peter 2:10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. [00:21] and look and remember this [00:21] niv 1 peter 1:18-19 1 Peter 1:18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, 1 Peter 1:19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. [00:21] you are a child of God [00:22] and in prayer you can go into the holy of holies [00:22] and be in the presence of the lord [00:22] as he works through your life [00:22] For the truth that makes the enemy fear is [00:22] that we can [00:23] ENTER THE HOLY OF HOLIES WITH JESUS [00:23] May the Lord bless you [00:23] and keep you [00:23] make his face to shine upon you [00:23] and give you peace [00:23] amen
