[00:25] And it is a topic that sometimes cause a child of God to get frustrated as they do the work for the Lord [00:25] Many in the world today will say to christians [00:26] Why do you follow Him? [00:26] Who is he
[00:26] They can not seem to grasp the true nature of Jesus
[00:27] ad it is up to us His children and workers to try and show these lost the Lord and His loving care [00:27] Why is it that it is so hard for one to accept what he is shown?
[00:28] How can we present it to them in clear concise way
[00:28] The reason is that the lost and captives that come here are spiritually blind
[00:28] they can not believe for they have never seen [00:29] they can not hear for they do not want to [00:30] they want their god to be like a fast food store that does things their ways
[00:30] But it is a fact we have all been the same way [00:30] And praise God someone had the patience with us to help us find the truth
[00:31] Those in the world come seeking but they do not want to find in their flesh
[00:31] and it is our job to give them the truth about Jesus to change their lives
[00:31] let us go to the scriptures and see [00:32] in the epistles we are given the reason for this stumbling block
[00:32] and if we can see the problem then maybe we will be more patient with those that come
[00:33] and not let frustration hinder us [00:33] kjv 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1 Corinthians 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. [00:34] The lost have their eyes closed and their ears shut so the truth can not penetrate to their hearts [00:34] They can not see what Jesus has prepared for them when they come to Him

[00:37] they may have heard but they also must feel it [00:37] the love of Jesus has to be felt to be known [00:38] It is by the Holy Spirit that we have the knowledge to do this

[00:38] To learn of God we must have knowledge of Him [00:39] to have knowledge of Him we must learn from Him [00:39] and this we do by reading and studying His word [00:39] The Word is alive and it is seen when the Holy spirit is teaching us by it
[00:40] kjv 1 Corinthians 2:12-13 1 Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1 Corinthians 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

[00:46] 1 Corinthians 2:16 [00:47] kjv 1 Corinthians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.
[00:47] carnal man can not understand what he is shown [00:47] or what he hears
[00:47] we on our own can not know the mind of God [00:50] We all have been given the mind of Christ through the Holy Spirit
[00:50] and it is by this that we can explain to others about Him
[00:51] for example Paul
[00:51] until his experience on the road of Damascus did not know Jesus
[00:51] he was blinded
[00:51] to the religious order of the day [00:52] he no doubt heard the message from Stephen [00:52] during the trial
[00:52] but he still did not receive it [00:52] and so he persecuted the followers of Jesus joyfully
[00:52] but on that road to Damascus [00:52] Jesus met him
[00:53] and through His experience the blinds were removed
[00:53] the ones he persecuted he begin later to teach [00:53] his eyes was opened and his ears were ready to hear
[00:53] it is the same for those coming in from the world
[00:54] they have probably heard the truth [00:54] but refuse to see it [00:54] they probably have persecuted the followers of Jesus
[00:54] in the world for they have never experienced it [00:54] but through the holy spirit [00:55] they have been knocked down off the road they have been walking
[00:55] and it is by us showing them the Lord that they see and hear
[00:56] and in time they can do it without others for the Holy spirit works in them like he does in us [00:56] but it is up to us to present it to them [00:56] for Jesus uses us as His tools to pull the lost out of the word of sin
[00:57] this we must remember when we are dealing with others
[00:57] they may lash out at us [00:57] for presenting the truth [00:57] they may make fun at us [00:57] for showing them Jesus [00:58] they may for a time bother us by asking the same questions or by asking what we feel are easy questions [00:58] but we must remember they are like babes and have to mature into full christians
[00:58] and that is our job to help them get started [00:59] kjv john 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [01:00] kjv john 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. [01:00] kjv john 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
[01:01] we all have Jesus in us and it is the power we need through Him that allows us to reach the lost [01:01] Now with some it is more difficult to reach [01:01] they are harder to touch [01:01] and sorry to say some may never see or hear [01:02] or even some will have to be like Paul [01:02] struck down from their pedestals of secular thinking
[01:02] by the problems they will sow in their lives [01:02] but that is why God has us here [01:03] His children are to be there to help when those times arrive
[01:03] until He comes we are to be at His work [01:03] and that is done by the Holy spirit operating in us
[01:04] now for the next few minute let us go to another set of scriptures that show these different so we can understand [01:04] Remember when it says thus says the Lord [01:05] it is something He really wants us to see [01:05] in these scriptures we are going to see a mind set of both a sinner and a child of God
[01:06] kjv Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
[01:06] kjv Jeremiah 17:6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. [01:07] God is telling us that the lost are in a dry place
[01:07] they can only bear bad fruit in such surroundings
[01:08] they do not realize for they can not see or hear the calling of Jesus to them
[01:08] kjv Jeremiah 17:7-8 Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
Jeremiah 17:8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. [01:09] Now it is that the Holy Spirit is the water that we are seeing talked of here
[01:10] the sinner is in dry lands and can only see his surrounding and not what is ahead of him
[01:10] he can not produce for he has no substance [01:10] he is the carnal desert [01:10] in bad ground
[01:10] that can not produce what is needed for a healthy life
[01:11] but the child of God is planted in good soil [01:11] and is tapped in to the living well of water [01:11] that never dries
[01:11] and because of this they bear good fruit [01:11] if we can get the lost to see this in the comparison of lives
[01:12] we could help them to find what they seek and need
[01:12] through Jesus we can reach them [01:12] and get them transplanted out of the desert and into the good land of the love of God
[01:13] by the Holy Spirit we can do this [01:13] and by this we will help the lost to open their eyes so they can see
[01:13] and unplug the lies of Satan from their ears [01:13] so they can hear
[01:14] It is up to us to let Jesus work through us to do this
