Bible Study.....The Gift of Faith
[00:25] The gift of faith is the special
ability that God gives to certain members of the body of
Christ to discern with extraordinary confidence the will
and purpose of God for His work. [00:26]
In these last days we has the body of Christ [00:26]
are going to have many battles with the
adversary to win the lost
[00:27] and without the operation of the
spiritual gifts we are in danger of losing
[00:27] so far in this series of studies
we have been looking at the
different gifts and their operations
[00:28] and so tonight we are going to
look at the gift that is the
foundation to all the gift working in the body [00:28]
Faith is the mainstay of any worker for
God [00:29] if he does not have faith in
all the things God has told us then he is like a hunter
who has a gun but no bullets [00:29] to
show this let e tell you a little story that some f you
may have heard
[00:30] two men were standing at the edge
of a great canyon
[00:30] across the canyon was strung a
steel cable [00:31] the first man looked
to the second and said [00:31] do you
think can take this wheel barrel and push it across the
canyon on the cable
[00:31] the second man said why sure –I
know you can [00:32] ok said the first man
with a smile-- [00:32] then you get in the
wheel barrel [00:32] now this is what many
christians do today [00:33] when it comes
to faith in God [00:33] they say yes I
believe in the promises of God [00:33]
while they are on safe ground [00:34] but
when the time comes to go out they are a little hesitant
[00:34] you see the canyon is the world of
today [00:34] and the cable is the word of
God which we must stand on to overcome the world
[00:35] the wheel barrel is the body of
Christ who says yes Lord you can make it across the
canyon [00:36] now the question we must
ask is are we ready to get in the barrel
[00:36] those with the spiritual gift of
faith gladly jump in and go across
[00:36] this is faith that the body needs
in these last days
[00:36] what is faith?

is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen. [00:39] when one can see
the goals of God for His people and has ultimate faith in
His word
[00:39] then they will go on and do His
work [00:40] have we got this gift flowing
in the church today?
[00:40] in the body of Christ [00:40]
without faith we can not do the things God
has set before us
[00:41] but those with the gift of faith
rally the rest and help to motivate the body to move on
[00:42] Jesus tells us that we must have
faith [00:42] how much faith do we need
[00:42] kjv matthew 17:20 [00:42]
AngelicSword_7 5[2kjv5]4 Mathew 17:20 And Jesus said unto
them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto
you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye
shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder
place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be
impossible unto you.
[00:43] now a mustard seed is a tiny thing
but when it matures into a tree it is gigantic
[00:44] with faith we can defeat the
adversary in the world today and save the lost
[00:44] heal the sick
[00:44] and do the miracles we read about
in the book of acts
[00:45] Jesus told us this [00:46]
in these last days the body of Christ is
going to need this gift to flow freely through it [00:46]
many of us will become weary [00:46]
many of us will become frustrated [00:47]
and it will seem that we are beating
against a wall
[00:47] and doing no good [00:47]
but those with the faith in the word will
keep going
[00:47] for they know that God is going to
win [00:48] and these with the gift of
faith will motivate the rest of us to keep going
[00:50] now comes the time to ask , are we
willing to get in the wheel barrel for God
[00:50] do we have faith to believe in
what the world may say is
impossible
[00:51] Remember the impossible is
probable with God [00:51] He has already
did the work for us [00:51] he has already
won the battle [00:51] H has given us the
power to become over comers [00:52] no
matter the surroundings [00:52] or the
situations we face He will see us through [00:53]
are we willing to get in the wheel barrel

without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that
cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a
rewarder of them that diligently seek him. [00:54]

crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but
Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the
flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved
me, and gave himself for me. [00:54] we
must have faith to do God's work [00:54]
and we must be strong in it [00:54] but
those with the gift of faith must use the gift to help
the body
[00:55] when the world says it is
impossible for the lame to walk
[00:55] then the gift carriers will say
with god it is possible
[00:56] when the world says give up on
that person for he will ever come to God
[00:56] we will say yes for our God can
save to the uttermost
[00:57] we get faith by hearing and
reading the word [00:57] and the Holy
spirit imparts to those a gift of faith to work in the
world today
[00:57] all of us have faith [00:58]
but when one is given the gift of faith
then he stands on the promises of God and helps other to
stand when they are frustrated from the situations
[00:59] now I ask you all [00:59]
a question
[00:59] and just answer it to yourself
[01:00] are you trusting enough in God to
launch out into the deep
[01:00] to get out on the limb [01:00]
to get in the wheel barrel of the story we
talked about
[01:00] God will not let you down [01:00]
God will not let you fall [01:01]
you may stumble but he will pick you up
[01:01] and for those who have been given
the gift of faith
[01:01] are you using the gift for the
good of the body? [01:02] the body of
Christ needs those with the gift of faith more now then
ever
[01:02] for the time is short and the
battle is going to become hotter
[01:03] let us stand to our feet and ell
the world nothing is impossible for our God
[01:03] we have the faith in His promises
[01:04] the world is looking for help
[01:04] and it is the body of Christ that
is that help [01:04] that is you
[01:04] and me
[01:05] it is us
[01:05] and it is by the gift of faith
[01:05] that the Body will go on and win
the souls for God
[01:06] God is saying i have the wheel
barrel [01:06] are you ready to get in and
go on for God [01:06] Jesus is with us
forever to the ends of the earth
[01:07] and through Him we will in faith
win the lost for His kingdom
[01:07] and thus it is the foundation that
all the gifts ride on is the gift of Faith
[01:07] in the believers life [01:07]
let us pray
[01:07] our heavenly father [01:08]

[01:08] we come to you tonight [01:08]
in the name of Jesus [01:08]
let the gift of faith flow [01:08]
through the body
[01:08] let it be a strong current that
runs through all of us

[01:09] give us your guidance in these
last days [01:09] yes lord
[01:09] yes Lord
[01:09] do not let us lean on our
understanding----but on
Yours

[01:10] yes lord
[01:10] let us see what the world says is
impossible [01:10] Lord please watch over and
bless those who serve here
[01:10] become the possible through you
[01:10] yes lord
[01:10] let us be sensitive to your
leading [01:10] Keep watch on their lives and
families and help us to remain free in you and not to
become distracted or hurt from being tired or attacked
[01:10] yes lord
[01:11] Please help us to be responsible with
the charge you have placed on each of our hearts
[01:11] give us the protection as we go
out to the world to do your work
[01:11] and give us the faith to get in
your wheel barrel
[01:11] and overcome the world [01:11]

[01:11] Lord please help us to share and
invest the gifts and talents you have given us
[01:11] through you
[01:12] for your glory and honor [01:12]
bless each person here lord [01:12]
and their families [01:12] yes
lord
[01:12] let the gifts flow through their
lives [01:12] and make us good workers for
you Lord [01:12] Lord please help us to
maintain your standard here and to rely constantly on
your truth as measure of what is worthy to spend time
with

[01:13] Lord please help all here to seek in
their walk with you the high gift of prophecy
[01:13] in the wonderful name of Jesus
[01:13] Help us to live the life necessary
for your giving f that gift

your words for this study
