[23:58] TOPIC: THE SPIRITUAL GIFT OF MIRACLES AND YOU [23:58] The definition of a miracle is --the special ability God gives people to serve as vessels through whom He show powerful acts that alters the ordinary course of nature. [00:01] In these days we now live in this is the gift that is rare to see
[00:01] It is not a constant flow in the Body of Christ and many say it is no longer needed
[00:02] In essence a miracle it's an act of God which shows the world His power through His church [00:02] for His glory
[00:02] now this is not to be confused with the gift of healing
[00:03] a miracle is to give proof to a unbeliever that God exist
[00:03] and to the believer proof that God is one to be trusted
[00:04] there are three words that appear n the new testament that are associated with miracles [00:05] Power---Wonder---and Sign [00:05] Each of these describes a different part of miracle
[00:06] Power== a miracle is a event of supernatural intervention that changes a situation
[00:06] Wonder==a miracle is something that excites the senses
[00:07] it amazes
[00:07] surprises
[00:07] and is unexplainable [00:07] and third it is a sign [00:08] It accompanies the servant of the Lord to prove a divine
commission
[00:08] kjv acts 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
[00:09] here Jesus is being explained by his disciple to unbelievers
[00:09] and if you notice he states the three words we have just mentioned to describe the works of Jesus [00:11] A miracle is God stepping into the universe , setting aside the laws of nature in order to do something extraordinary [00:11] healing although wonderful are not miracles [00:11] they are answers to prayers [00:11] for instance
[00:12] some one is sick and through medicine or treatments they are cured
[00:12] this is a answer to prayer [00:13] but when the doctors give up and tell the family that the person is going no mater what
[00:13] all has been done [00:13] and then that person gets up and is perfectly well then that is a miracle
[00:14] Jesus rose Lazarus from the dead [00:14] that was a miracle [00:14] maybe this is why he waited before going to his friends aid
[00:15] to show the people a miracle that could not be denied
[00:15] Jesus and his disciples did miracles [00:15] over many things
[00:15] they showed power over disease [00:15] power over demons [00:16] power over nature [00:16] power over matter [00:16] example
[00:16] water into wine
[00:16] power over death
[00:17] these are miracles they performed because they could not be explained
[00:17] as for wonder
[00:18] a miracle is a cause for a feeling of awe [00:18] coming form a gigantic showing of the divine power of God
[00:19] Now one may say where are the miracles in today's society
[00:19] why does God not show his full power today [00:19] are miracles a thing of the past [00:20] I now say to you that miracles are for today and are going on right now
[00:20] for the glory of God [00:21] kjv john 14:11-12 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
[00:22] My friends Jesus tells us that we are going to do greater works in the world we live in now
[00:22] and I say we are doing those works now [00:22] I believe that God is doing miracles in the spiritual realm right this moment
[00:23] for us
[00:23] to show my point I would like to tell a short story before closing
[00:23] years ago my dad was diagnosis with lung cancer [00:24] I prayed for God to save him and heal him even though I was not in the church
[00:24] many others were doing the same [00:24] but then as I stood by him I watched him die [00:25] and as he died I cried to God and yelled at him that he was a liar
[00:25] he did not do a miracle [00:25] and for months I hated him for it [00:25] He took my dad
[00:26] I thought
[00:26] but then after I came to God [00:26] he showed me something [00:26] true he did not give me a miracle of saving my dad
[00:26] but for the last 6 months of his life [00:27] my dad had a peace that was unbelievable about his fate
[00:27] now some will say God did not do a miracle [00:27] but I say now He did in the spiritual sense for he gave my dad unexplainable peace
[00:28] is just as powerful as stopping the storm in ones soul
[00:28] the miracle of raising the dead [00:29] is just as powerful as that of a lost sinner coming to God when no one thought he ever would [00:29] God does perform miracles daily [00:29] all we have to do is open our spiritual eyes and look for them
[00:29] Miracle are alive and well today in the body of Christ
[00:30] and as the time draws to a close [00:30] these miracles will become larger and larger [00:30] and more evident to the world [00:30] God is performing miracles in your life today my fiends
[00:31] let us rejoice for His divine power in our lives [00:31] and let the gift of miracles flow through us as they did in the book of acts
[00:31] Yes there is the spiritual gift of miracles operating in you

[00:32] we ask now let the miracles flow [00:33] let us be the conduits for your divine power to save the lost

[00:33] who now holds captives in bondage [00:33] let your miracle flow in our personal lives [00:33] thank you for your power to deliver [00:34] and those of our families [00:34] let us stand in unity [00:34] as we reach a lost world for you [00:34] and you alone
