[23:57] Bible Study; The Orchards of Good and Evil [23:58] Tonight we will be looking at two kinds of orchards.
[23:58] Now we have all heard of the story of the trees in the Garden of Eden but that is not what tonights study is about [23:59] Tonight we will be looking at the orchards and try to see what they can tell us
[23:59] In Eden there was two trees [23:59] one of Knowledge and one of life [00:00] now we have all been told the story about these trees
[00:00] and how when man fell into sin God forced them out of Eden so they could not touch the other fruit of the tree of life [00:01] In the world today there are two orchards [00:01] For a Orchard to bring its owner a reward it must be taken care of
[00:02] and the fruit that is harvested must be used to bring him a profit
[00:02] the bigger the orchard the more work it takes [00:02] but the more the reward is [00:03] And so it is that in the spiritual sense there are two orchards
[00:03] one is owned by the Lord [00:03] and the other is owned by Satan [00:03] and the work to harvest the fruits in both goes on constantly
[00:04] to tend to a orchard one must prune the trees [00:04] make sure the right nutrients are in the ground so they will grow
[00:04] and that they have enough water to produce [00:05] this is a simple way of describing a orchard [00:05] the fruits that are harvested by both are listed in the Bible for us
[00:06] Let us now go to the orchards and see what we can find
[00:06] kjv Galatians 5:19-20 Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Galatians 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
[00:07] kjv Galatians 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
[00:07] Now we see the harvest from the bad orchard [00:08] it is what the world produces for its people to eat on
[00:08] This orchard is watered by the tears and sorrows [00:08] of the people in the world [00:08] it is rooted in sin
[00:09] the more pain the more tears [00:09] the more tears the more fruit [00:10] Satan gets his rewards with the harvest of [00:10] broken hearts
[00:10] busted lives
[00:10] and destruction of hope [00:11] his orchard is vast and its workers do all they can to increase the harvest
[00:11] Now let us go to the good garden [00:11] kjv Galatians 5:22-23 Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Galatians 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. [00:12] Here we see the orchard of our Lord [00:12] It is rooted in the Word of God and is watered by the prayers of the saints
[00:13] its workers have at times been relaxed [00:13] and let the weeds come across the fence [00:13] and with weeds comes possible death [00:13] but it is still a producing orchard [00:14] the joys and peace these fruits give are sweet to the soul
[00:14] they nourish the taker with strength to overcome [00:14] they bring peace to the hunger that is in the soul
[00:15] Jesus is the owner [00:15] He brought these trees to the earth by His sacrifice
[00:16] He watered then first by His own blood [00:16] as he hung upon a cross [00:16] so His trees would get a good start [00:17] where as Satan started his with deceit and lies out of hatred
[00:17] Jesus started His with His love and peace [00:17] So now we have seen the two orchards [00:18] and seen the fruits they have produced [00:18] Let us now go to the owner of the good orchard and see what he has to say

John 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. John 15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
[00:21] through Jesus we are the branches that bear His fruit
[00:22] by the fruit we bear others will come to Him [00:22] now here we are talking of vines but a vineyard and a orchard are the same thing
[00:23] Jesus did not give us the gifts we have for us to just sit and wait
[00:23] in a orchard the more you prune the tree the more fruit it will produce
[00:23] How does Jesus prune us so we can get more fruit to be produced
[00:24] By the Holy Spirit daily checking our lives and showing us the things we must lose by prayer to stay strong in our walk with God
[00:25] If a tree in a orchard is left to its self usually the fruit yields drop and the quality of the fruit begins to fall
[00:26] for the child of God that does not pray and work continually the chance is its fruit bearing will drop [00:26] this is why we must daily pray [00:26] and daily be ready to witness or help when the opportunity arises
[00:27] And it is by the fruits you and I produce that those lost in the world can come to God
[00:28] because like the sap that runs up the trunk to the branches to bring nourishment so does the Holy Spirit and the Word of God bring us nourishment
[00:28] through Jesus we have this nourishment [00:29] kjv john 15:3-4
John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
[00:29] Here we are told that only through Jesus can we bear fruit
[00:30] Satan does not care if the trees bear fruit [00:30] for in the end he knows they will be uprooted and burned
[00:31] he just likes to keep adding trees and letting their poisonous fruit to the soul work
[00:31] But Jesus wants His to bear fruit to all [00:31] by our actions
[00:31] words
[00:32] and the love we show to others [00:32] kjv john 15:5-6
John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing
John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. [00:33] Here we have the secret ingredient that make the good orchard so strong
[00:33] and fruit producing [00:33] we have to abide in Him [00:33] and trust in Him
[00:33] for our spiritual nourishment and strength [00:34] by Jesus working through us we can do anything [00:34] Now let us see something now [00:35] in a orchard there is a trick that many growers do
[00:35] to improve the efficiency of their orchard in producing
[00:35] it is called grafting [00:35] This is where the worker cuts a branch in too [00:36] and takes a cut branch form another tree and it grows into the tree and produces fruit
[00:37] Now the reason for this is that there are many kinds of apples

[00:37] yellow delicious
[00:37] Winesap
[00:37] and granny smiths [00:37] and by grafting one can have two three or any number of apples growing on the same tree [00:38] now this is also how Jesus does His orchard [00:38] the gentiles have been grafted into the family of God
[00:39] so the orchard of God has both jews and gentiles producing in it
[00:39] we adopted into his family by Jesus [00:39] He made the way for us to be grafted into the trunk
[00:41] kjv romans 11:13-14 Romans 11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
Romans 11:14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.

Romans 11:24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
[00:43] We have been grafted in [00:44] to the tree of God [00:44] by Jesus
[00:44] but we did not replace the original branches [00:44] we are both on the same tree [00:44] getting our strength from the same trunk [00:45] now this is also how the body of Christ works [00:45] our good orchard trees have many different people grafted into the trunk
[00:45] many races
[00:45] many backgrounds
[00:45] many talents
[00:46] and many God given gifts [00:46] for the production of good fruit for our Lord [00:46] You might say Jesus took us and made us into a applesauce
[00:47] from different trees the fruits are combined to make different kinds of apple sauces
[00:47] into one
[00:47] and through Jesus we have all been made into one body
[00:47] that brings a sweet savor to our Lord [00:47] we are all in one [00:47] by Jesus
[00:48] and our fruits we show to the world brings them to our Lord
[00:48] when we can get a lost one to come to God [00:49] we are taken the broken discarded branches that Satan has pruned off his trees
[00:49] and through Jesus and His blood they are refreshed
[00:49] and grafted into His trees to start producing fruit for Him
[00:49] you an I are all grafted in one [00:50] as the good garden of God [00:50] we are trees that are producing a harvest for Him
[00:50] a harvest that brings eternal life [00:50] wonderful peace
[00:50] love
[00:50] rest
[00:51] healing
[00:51] salvation
[00:51] and eternal life through Jesus [00:51] this is the good orchard for a lost world to come and see
[00:51] the goodness of God [00:51] in the lives of his children [00:52] and to see where they can be mended [00:52] given new hope
[00:52] with all the promises of God given to them when they come to Jesus
[00:52] as I said
[00:53] How is your tree tonight? [00:53] have you pruned it with prayer and obedience to the Holy Spirit
[00:54] have you let Jesus water it with His love and His word
[00:54] is it rooted deeply into the Lord [00:54] and above all
[00:54] are you producing the full amount of fruit you can possibly produce
[00:55] I myself will say I have not gone to my full potential
[00:55] I am working on it [00:55] but in my heart I know can do better [00:55] and I know through Jesus I will produce better [00:56] Well God is good
[00:56] and we have a job to do for Him [00:56] time is short
[00:56] but this is not a time to let the orchard of God go to rest
[00:57] Let us go out and harvest more for Him [00:57] Let us work on the Internet to [00:57] bring in a harvest for Him [00:57] everyone hee is needed and important [00:57] for we are all the tree that bear fruit in the good orchard
[00:58] and so we now leave the orchards of good and evil
[00:58] glory to God
[00:58] for His blessing
[00:58] and so we end the study of [00:58] The Good and Evil Orchard [00:59] let us pray
