[23:52] Tonight we will be looking into soul winning; [23:53] and specially the Heart of a soul Winner [23:54] In these last days we live in the need for soul winners is important for the Body to reach a lost and hurting world. [23:55] In the Body of Christ there are many different jobs but above all also the most important work is that of becoming a soul winner for Christ.
[23:56] Out of all the work one could do for the Lord it is the soul winner that brings the lost out of the darkness to find the love and joy in Jesus Christ.
[23:56] And it is the ultimate goal for everyone that has came to the lord to do this Job.
[23:57] Jesus gave us a commission to go forth throughout the world to spread His Gospel and retake what Satan had stolen [23:58] as it says in the scripture: [23:58] kjv Matthew 28:18-20
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
[23:59] In this we find 3 things that Jesus has done for us to do this job.
[23:59] 1. Our power for the work-(authority) [00:00] 2. Orders to go out (commission) [00:00] 3. and what we must do. ( teach and show) [00:00] and throughout all this He promised to be with us always
[00:01] Perhaps we can see from the Book of acts just what a soul winner is and what they must have. [00:02] Remember these soul winners evanelized a whole world with no tv radio books or as of today the internet [00:02] and yet they fulfiled the commission for their whole world
[00:03] Jesus has given us a pattern through these soul winners lives that we can learn how to be a effective soul winner. [00:03] Why were these soul winners so successful in doing their job?
1.They were in fellowship with Christ.
2.They were obedient To the command of Jesus. 3.They were all in one accord with each other. 4.They prayed continually.
5.They were filled with the Holy Spirit. 6.They continued to be steadfast on the commission. 7.They lived their lives Christ like.
8.They were bold in the face of threats. 9.They honored and studied the Word.
10.They witnessed daily.
11.They were obedient to God not man.
12.They suffered shame for spereading the Gospelof Christ. [00:05] Now these are the very things that we must do for us to do this important job for the Lord. [00:06] Now more then ever the job of soul winning is so important, for we are coming down to the last days and there ae still so many to reach for God.
[00:07] But glory to God for He has given us the tools to do the work and with the new mission field of the Internet opening, the soul winner is going to be a very busy person [00:09] Sadly the call is being sent out for soul winners but not many seem to be answering it so those that have answered will be facing an enormous task of evangelizing the world . But God is giving us the power to do the job for Him
[00:09] and if we follow His leading we will accomplish this job.
[00:10] Let us now look at a few facts for a soul winners life
[00:10] First let us look to the scriptures [00:11] kjv Matthew 13:36-38 Matthew 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
Matthew 13:37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
Matthew 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; [00:11] kjv matthew 13:39-40 Matthew 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. Matthew 13:40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. [00:12] kjv Matthew 13:41-42 Matthew 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his
kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; Matthew 13:42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
[00:12] kjv Matthew 13:43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
[00:13] This is a statement that should ring in every ear of a soul winner especially if they are weary or frustrated [00:13] you are the only one that stands between a soul from going to hell
[00:14] and eternal death [00:14] The soul winner is the tool that God uses to pull the sinner out of the gates of hell and into the gates of heaven [00:15] It is His power but it is our willingness that makes it happen
[00:15] What is the character of a soul winner
1. A soul winner must constantly be found in the presence of Christ. [00:17] Rmember Jesus told the disciples that He would make them fishers of men
[00:17] kjv Matthew 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
[00:17] And today He is saying that to all of us who answers His call
2. Constantly a soul winner must seek wisdom from Christ. [00:19] It is not by our understanding but by His that we can work.
[00:19] what we think is improbable to God is probable
3. The soul winner must work with Jesus and not try to go on his own to reach the lost.
4. A soul winner must have faith and unwavering belief that the promises of God and the word of the Gospel is incorruptible.
5. Our area of witnessing must not be confined to one area but to any area that a door is opened to us.
6. we can not be confused but must be focused on our job at hand.
7. A winner of souls must be and labor deligently with the goal in view that Jesus has given us
8. We must understand that each person we meet is responsible for their own souls.
[00:24] Although the soul winner helps to bring them to Christ he can not of his own keep them in the body of Christ. [00:25] the soul winner can help but it is the person that makes the choice in the end of everlasting life or everlasting death
[00:25] We give the seed to them and let God work in them , but we can not hold them
9. we must know that those we come into contact with are lost and that they may not see the danger they are in
[00:27] so they will not easily accept what we show them, but we must stay stable like a rock for them to see as a example of Christ's saving power
10. A soul winner must never minimize the enemy when working with the lost, for although Satan can not defeat the child of God he still exerts extreme power over the captive and his world [00:30] there are incentives for the soul winner and these are as follows;
A. We pray for God to send more workers. Matthew 9:38 B.. It is a obligation for us to accomplish His will Romans 1:14-15
C. Our motive must be freely given. II Corinthians 5:14-15
D. Jesus is are example for like Him we must be about our Fathers work. Luke 2:49
E. Our power to witness comes from Jesus. Acts 1:8
F. Our helper is the Lord. Phillipians 4:13
G. We have the message and theme of salvation through Jesus to give to all. John 3:16
[00:32] The soul winner must become a tool for God and give his time to work for the Lord as a soul winner [00:33] Remember also as a soul winner we must be sure to follow this rule so we will not be ensnared by the enemy [00:33] Our field is the world to work in but we must stand on the following to succeeded
[00:34] We are to be in the world but not of the world if we are to be good soul winners for Christ.
[00:34] And we have promise of our rewards as His workers
[00:34] kjv 1 thessalonians 2:19-20 1 Thessalonians 2:19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
1 Thessalonians 2:20 For ye are our glory and joy. [00:35] we are a joy to the Lord when we are being His soul winners
[00:36] For a soul winner there are many fields to work that require time and trust in the Lord
[00:36] these areas are.
1.At home with our loved ones.
2.Among friends that we have or know.
3.Among neighbors who need Jesus and only see by your actions what Jesus can do.
4.On the highways and by the wayside with the people we come in contact with.
5.To all the strangers both near and far. 6.And even to the farthest reaches of the world. [00:38] All of this can be summed up like this---If a soul winner cannot witness where he is then he can not witness where he is not. For us to go forth where God has put us to be a soul winner we must
1. Have conviction
2. Believe what we have is worth giving to others [00:39] In God's eyes the whole world is the field in which we are to work for Him.
[00:39] Wherever God puts us that is where we must work [00:40] And the internet is the new field He has opened to us and no matter what others may say to you [00:40] the job you are doing on the net is very important in God's eyes for it is the way to reach all the world at the same time.
[00:41] You are all His disciples in this new field [00:41] and you are very mportant to this work. [00:41] and God will bless you all [00:42] Now in Romans we are given the soul winners operation manual;
[00:43] These we find in the letter Paul wrote to the roan church under the unction of the Holy Spirit and they are ringing loud and clear to us today

[00:46] A soul winner is a debtor to every man and responsible to present the gospel to others in the same manner we all recieved it
[00:47] Is it not wrong if we wanted to keep it just between ourselves and not share it with others who are in need of it [00:48] to be ready in a soul winners postion we must be fully prepared when asked to:
1.To preach the Gospel.-Romans 1:15
2.To give a answer when asked.-I Peter 3:15 3.To produce good work.-Titus 3:1
4.To distribue ourselves for others,-I Timothy 4:6 5.To be bound for the Gospel sake.-Acts 21:13 6.To give our lives if needed for Christ II Timothy 4:6 7.To meet our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.-I John 2:28 [00:50] For a soul winner there are some points that have to be
remembered as they go about the Father's work in reaching the lost and winning souls for God.
1.Go where the sinner is<>
2.Speak to the sinner first<<>
3.Remember sometimes the lost are blind.<> 6.Show that satisfaction comes from Jesus.<> 9.Try not to let the sinner put off the decision to come to God.<
