[00:25] Tonight we are going to start the
study with a story
[00:26] kjv acts 19:13-14 Acts 19:13 Then
certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them
to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the
LORD Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul
preacheth. Acts 19:14 And there were seven sons of one
Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.

the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul
I know; but who are ye?
Acts 19:16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped
on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them,

being clothed for a deliverance ministry
[00:28] To be a effective opp in a
deliverance ministry [00:28] in a demonic
confrontation [00:29] we must be sure that
there are no breaks in our armor
[00:29] For no matter how small a demon
will use it for a legal ground to refuse to leave
[00:30] And he will exploit it to
effectively stop the session
[00:31] and so the theme of a deliverance
opp should be : To Thine Own Self Be True
[00:31] It is so easy for us to overlook
our faults [00:31] and paint a picture of
ourselves in our own mind [00:32] as to
our relationship with God and our righteousness
[00:32] For this to be in the mind of a
deliverance opp is certain death in a spiritual conflict
[00:32] of casting out demons [00:33]
Demons know us and know if we are being
true or being false
[00:33] with our relationship with God
[00:33] And like the sons of sceva [00:34]
they will turn on us and tear the
righteous clothes we have put on our selves
[00:34] and send us spiritually naked and
wounded [00:34] shaking our confidence in
our place with God [00:35] In deliverance
ministry there is no place to play games

[00:35] for it is a deadly serious battle
with the life of a human soul in jepordy
[00:36] We must be sure of our
relationship with God and where we are
[00:36] spiritually
[00:36] The hardest thing for a op to do
is [00:36] ask God to show ourselves has

sin is it is a death blow to a deliverance opp

ourselves and let the Holy spirit cleanse us of any sin
that may be with us [00:38] and by doing
this we will be effective n the battles to save the
oppressed and the possessed [00:38] We

position of casting out demons

said, Why could not we cast him out?

here we see Jesus telling the disciple in
plain words

let us now look at steps that a opp needs
to do [00:44] Stp1: Humility
[00:44] We must realize that it is not us
but it is God in us that is doing the work
[00:45] If we try to stand on our own we
will lose any battle to a demon
[00:45] kjv James 4:6-7
James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith,
God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the
humble. James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
[00:46] We must be completely open to god
so he can work through us
[00:46] kjv James 5:16 Confess your faults
one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be
healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man
availeth much. [00:47] To be effective we
must be humble and not glory in the fact that God is
using us
[00:47] Step 2; Honesty
[00:48] We have to be honest with God and
our selves if we are to expect God's blessing and power
to work through us in a deliverance ministry

[00:49] Lack of pure honesty keeps
darkness in our life [00:49] and demons
will exploit darkness [00:49] in a battle
[00:50] Honesty brings the dark into the
light where it is revealed and can be done away with by
the blood of Jesus [00:50] In other words
a deliverance minister or opp must daily search himself
and ask God to search him [00:51] To make
sure he s prepared for battle [00:51] kjv
psalm 32:5 I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine
iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my
transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the
iniquity of my sin. Selah.

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my
thoughts:
Psalms 139:24 And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
[00:52] It is imperative for opps in
sessions to be sure they ahve doe this so they can have
authority over the demons they face [00:53]
Step 3: Repentance
[00:53] A opp must repent of any sin that
is revealed in his life and ask for God to forgive and
cleanse it from him [00:55] repentance is
a daily tearing away of transgressions that would hinder
spiritual growth , ministry, and fellowship
[00:56] it requires open confession and by
doing this we take away any legal grounds for a demon we
are facing to stand on [00:56] Step4:
Renunciation
[00:56] This is the act of forsaking evil
[00:58] It is a demonstration of
repentance and is evidence that one has turned from sin
[00:59] kjv Matthew 3:7-8 Mathew 3:7 But
when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to
his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers,
who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Mathew 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for

many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their
deeds.

brought their books together, and burned them before all

We must bring forth the sins we find in our lives and lay
them on the altar for the Holy spirit to burn out f our

break from sin and its effects

[01:02] Step 5: Forgiveness [01:02]
Realize that God forgive freely and so
must we if we want to do his work
[01:03] Lack of forgiveness in a
deliverance ministers (opp) life will plug the power of
god from him [01:03] kjv Matthew 6:14-15
Mathew 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your
heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Mathew 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses,
neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
[01:03] forgiving is essential for the opp
in his life [01:04] Step 6: Prayer
[01:04] Prayer and fasting are the main
stays for a opp to keep himself spiritually strong to
face the enemy [01:05] In prayer there is
two separate parts to a deliverance opps life'
[01:05] Prayer is to God
[01:05] Warfare prayer is to the enemy
[01:06] for the opp to be victorious this

[01:06] Step 7: Warfare
[01:06] our warfare is spiritual [01:07]
We must use the weapons God has given us
effectively
[01:07] if we are to defeat the demons and
free the possessed and the oppressed
[01:08] and glory to God for these weapons
for no demon can prevail

will run to hell with their tails between their legs like

all of the above with confidence in winning the battle
