[00:00] CRONUS-KEDAR changes topic to "Triumvirate Eternity, Repentance, Forgiveness, Salvation †"
[00:01] Tonight we are going to continue with our series on Spiritual Warfare
[00:01] Please bare with me tonight for I am having to type it out by hand for my irc is out
[00:02] In these last days we now live in people are looking for help and we have the answer for them. [00:02] but for them to start down the path to God there are three steps that they must take
[00:03] and these steps we must try and help them find. [00:03] And so tonight we are going to talk of the three steps
[00:04] In the Bible Numerics the #3 stands for solid, real, substantial, complete
[00:04] it is the first perfect number [00:04] and it is symbolic for divine perfection [00:05] And so triumvirate is Latin for a set of three [00:06] And tonight we will be talking of the first three steps one must take to come to God.
[00:06] Like Bible Numeric shows [00:07] Repentance---forgiveness--and Salvation [00:07] It is a must for one to follow for the gift of eternal life given to us by God
[00:07] These three steps are: [00:07] real
[00:08] Essential
[00:08] Perfect
[00:08] substantial
[00:08] Complete
[00:08] and divine in origin [00:08] So they are the triumvirate to eternity [00:09] kjv psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
[00:10] kjv psalm 51:10-13 Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Psalms 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
Psalms 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
Psalms 51:13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
[00:11] Hee we see the Word telling us about tonight's topic
[00:11] Why is repentance the first step to salvation? [00:12] 1. It sets the path for relationship with God [00:12] It is a two sided coin. [00:12] For on one side the person is turning away from sin
[00:13] And on the other side it is the person turning to God
[00:13] 2. Repentance makes a inward change a visible reality
[00:14] It is a inside cleansing not seen right away of the person.
[00:14] But it does show up in a different lifestyle for the person and a behavior change
[00:15] that makes repentance visible [00:15] 3. Repentance breaks the bondage of sin. [00:15] 4. Repentance demonstrates faith [00:16] Confession of sin with a changed lifestyle is inseparable .
[00:16] It is a change in the heart and a change in the mind
[00:17] Without this in the persons life the spiritual side becomes
unproductive in life.
[00:17] Repentance and action must go hand in hand [00:17] Step 2. Forgiveness [00:18] How sad it is that many people do not know what forgiveness really is
[00:18] the psalm 51 is a perfect example of the repentant sinner asking for forgiveness from God. [00:19] Forgiveness comes from confession and repentance [00:19] they are connected in the stairway to the gift from God.
[00:20] and both are needed to bring the sinner out of the bondage and darkness that Satan has them trapped in [00:21] we as the children of God have to be ready and willing to be the tools for God to use to do this [00:21] The sinner is in confusion and blind to may of his chains
[00:23] As they come for deliverance it is up to the workers of God to displace the confusion and help to remove the blinders by introducing them to Jesus and to do this we have to help them on the three steps to eternal life through Jesus [00:23] No sin is too great for God for He can forgive all.
[00:24] God will forgive any sin providing the person is sincere
[00:25] if the person has sincerely confessed and repented of his sin
[00:25] This is a point that the enemy tries to hide from the captive to hold on to him
[00:26] and we must show this trick of Satan on the captive is a lie
[00:26] Now God can and will forgive sins in a person's life
[00:26] but He may not erase the natural consequences of the sin
[00:26] example:
[00:27] A man is a murderer [00:27] he is scheduled for execution [00:27] He comes to God and repents of his sin [00:27] he confess his sin [00:27] and asks for forgiveness [00:29] but even though he has been given forgiveness from God he still has to pay for his sin to society [00:29] God forgave the sin but the consequences of the sin remained
[00:30] we must show the freed captive that through Jesus their sins are forgiven
[00:30] kjv john 20:23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
[00:30] Now we can not forgive sin for that is only a gift from God
[00:31] man is not God
[00:31] We can not remit sin [00:31] But we can tell the person that their sins have been forgiven because they have accepted Jesus [00:32] this we can do with certainty when true repentance is shown
[00:32] Now this next statement sometimes raises eye brows but bare with me so I can explain it [00:33] 3. God consistently forgives sin when one ask for it.
[00:33] through repentance [00:34] No one is perfect and God knows this. [00:34] We all make mistakes [00:34] And knowing this God provided us these steps for us to repent.
[00:35] Now this does not mean we can willingly sin the same sin over and over again
[00:35] for that is walking on the precious gift Jesus gave for us.
[00:36] we do not have the right for continual sin knowing that we are doing it
[00:36] But when we make mistakes which we do then Jesus is there to help us
[00:37] this is the stumbling block that Satan uses to beat a new born Christian or even a child of God down [00:37] he use condemnation on the people to pull them from God
[00:38] Jesus does not do this for He knows our weakness and He is always there for us
[00:38] Peter and Judas are a perfect example of this [00:38] 1. they both betrayed Jesus [00:39] Their sins were equally as wicked [00:39] but the difference was that [00:39] Judas stayed in condemnation forgetting the promises of Jesus and went to eternal damnation [00:40] But peter through absolution or repentance lived in restoration from our Lord and Saviour
[00:41] Let me say again this is not a free ride for a person to continually sin
[00:41] but it is a solution to mistakes we all make [00:41] 4. Forgiveness is complete [00:42] Honest confession means a commitment to stop continuing in sin
[00:42] Confession reestablishes relationship with God [00:43] Why is confession needed you ask since Jesus has paid the price for your sins?
[00:43] It is needed because [00:44] 1. agreeing with God that our sins were truly sins and that we are willing to turn from them [00:44] 2. It ensures that we do not conceal our sins from Him and assuredly from ourselves
[00:45] 3. It recognizes our tendency to sin and our relying on His power to overcome it
[00:46] Now we come to the third step of this triumvirate to eternity
[00:46] Salvation
[00:46] This is a term we have heard over and over again and it is probably the most taken for granted of the three steps [00:47] kjv matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
[00:47] Salvation is something man can not do on his own [00:47] this we are told
[00:48] the world says that man can gain his own salvation on his own
[00:48] but this is false and we must show this to the captives that will be coming our way
[00:49] No matter how good a life we lead we still can not eliminate the sinful nature found in mankind. [00:49] Only Jesus can do this [00:50] Some preach in the world today that if you are good you will be saved without repentance--forgiveness-- [00:50] that you can save yourself by your lifestyle without accepting Jesus
[00:50] This is a lie and a trick of Satan that snares many
[00:51] we have to show this lie to those that come to us if we are to show them the light
[00:51] Jesus did not come to help his people [00:51] He came to save His people [00:52] man can not save himself [00:52] it is through Jesus that salvation can come [00:52] He came as our Saviour to pay the price of our sin
[00:53] to not accept this is to belittle the sacrifice of Jesus at Calvary
[00:53] We thank Jesus for his gift [00:53] we accept Him to lead and control our life [00:54] Salvation is the assurance of God's presence within us
[00:55] Jesus was God in the flesh so this means that God was literally among us and with us.
[00:56] It is by the in filling of the Holy spirit that we can live and still help others to find salvation by showing them Jesus
[00:56] Salvation is a single plan. [00:56] all it takes is obedience from the child of God [00:57] kjv Matthew 7:13-14 Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that
leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. [00:57] The gate to eternal life with Jesus in Heaven is narrow
[00:57] He is the only way [00:58] the world is teaching that there are many pathways to eternal life
[00:58] and sadly some of God's children are falling for this lie
[00:58] There is only one way to salvation and eternal life
[00:58] and that is Jesus Christ [00:59] And this is what we must show those that come seeking
[00:59] it is a must
[00:59] Jesus alone paid the price [00:59] and He is the only way [01:00] It is through Him that we were made right with God
[01:00] Man is not a god and can not go to God on his own accord
[01:00] we are not gods
[01:00] we are his children and only have righteousness through Jesus
[01:01] this we must show to those that come [01:01] Salvation in ones life is done by the Holy Spirit
[01:01] Spiritual birth is a gift from God [01:02] kjv Ephesians 2:8-10 Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. [01:03] Salvation is dependant on either receiving or rejecting Jesus
[01:03] Salvation is a gift to be appreciated [01:03] Salvation is not earned it is freely given [01:04] Salvation is from God's grace not a result of any effort , ability, or intelligent choice or act of service on our part [01:04] However
[01:04] out of gratitude for the free gift [01:05] we will seek to : [01:05] help
[01:05] serve others as Christ served [01:05] with the following; [01:05] kindness
[01:05] love
[01:05] gentleness
[01:05] and to just try and please ourselves [01:06] This is the triumvirate to eternity [01:06] Three steps to coming to God [01:06] God is here with us now and forever [01:07] He is offering this gift to us [01:07] and to all who call on Him and repent [01:07] ask for forgiveness [01:07] In closing I would like to say thank you to you all
[01:07] for being here
[01:08] We have a job to do and it is to bring Jesus to a lost and hurting world
[01:08] through our obedience to Him [01:08] may we never take this gift for granted [01:09] for it was purchased for a high price [01:09] The blood of Jesus is precious [01:09] and His sacrifice is not to be forgotten or belittled
[01:10] for He died for you and me [01:10] May God bless you all [01:10] and keep you all
[01:10] in His loving arms [01:10] amen
