[23:23] For the world it is asked daily [23:23] for the child of God it is asked occasionally [23:24] Who can this be? [23:24] Who can this be? [23:24] let us go to the word now and see [23:25] kjv luke 8:22-23 Luke 8:22 Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth Luke 8:23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. Luke 8:25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him. [23:27] now in the new king james the statement is Who can this Be? [23:27] In this set of scriptures we see the man to answer the question of Who can this be? [23:28] Jesus told his disciples ;Let us go over to the other side of the lake [23:28] Is this not like it is with us and with the world when it comes to the teaching of Jesus [23:29] He has told us He is always with us [23:29] but at times we wonder [23:29] He says we our overcomers [23:29] but at times we doubt [23:30] Jesus never let down anyone but we all have wondered what is going on [23:30] Jesus told the disciples they were going over [23:31] and when the storm arose they became fearful as the waves rose above the ship [23:31] they had begun to doubt they would make it over [23:31] And they cried for Jesus to save them [23:31] But Jesus had already told them they were going over [23:32] and when He awoke He rebuked the storm they were amazed [23:32] And they asked Who can this be? [23:33] now the world today looks at the way Jesus operates n their lives [23:33] When they see Him work they stand amazed [23:33] And in their mind they ask who can this be? [23:49] Now these were the men who had been with Jesus all along [23:49] they had seen Him do His miracles [23:50] they had seen Him in authority take control of situations [23:50] And when a little storm came up they seemed to have forgotten what He had did [23:51] they forgot He had always followed through with what He said [23:51] And even though they had seen al these things they still stood amazed and a little fearful when He calmed the storm [23:52] the sea calmed down and the waves and wind subsided [23:52] they stared in amazement saying in essence "Who can this be?" [23:53] He is the son of God [23:53] they saw Him do the miracles but they seemed to have forgot [23:53] Today we see the same thing happening [23:54] many times when people first come into contact with the power of Jesus mending their lives [23:54] healing them [23:54] and giving them peace [23:54] they always ask who can this be? [23:54] yes [23:54] when we are in the valleys we sometime question in our mind why? [23:55] in essence we are asking who can this be? [23:55] Jesus and His ministry was a amazement to the people of His time [23:55] they asked who can this be [23:55] the religious leaders of His time asked who can this be? [23:56] the secular leaders today ask who can this be? [23:56] That can have so much power [23:56] they look in amazement at what Jesus had did [23:57] with a small group of men He spread His message all over the world [23:57] amen [23:57] Jesus never had a teaching degree given to Him [23:58] but He is the greatest teacher there ever was [23:58] He was not a licensed physician [23:58] but He was the greatest healer there ever was [23:58] amen [23:59] He was not rich by any means [23:59] but yet He gave riches unimaginable to the world [23:59] and so we ask who can this be? [00:00] We all know that time was looking for the man of the century? [00:00] for its magazine [00:00] Most of the candidates are now dead [00:00] but for some reason Jesus was not on the list [00:00] why [00:01] Because the world and time magazine in essence is asking Who can this be? [00:01] Jesus is not dead [00:01] amen [00:01] He is still alive [00:01] He is still working [00:01] to change mens lives [00:02] but the world is asking who can this be? [00:02] today just as in the time of Jesus [00:02] man is asking this immortal question? [00:03] kjv lke 4:35-36 Luke 4:35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not. Luke 4:36 And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out. [00:04] every time Jesus did something it brought attention to the fact that He was not a mortal man [00:05] every time He did a miracle He did it with authority that caught the worlds attention [00:05] can you not imagine [00:05] when He raised Lazarus from the grave [00:05] that those watching whispered who can this be? [00:06] now this is not scripture but my ideas [00:06] but people are the same and if today anyone was to go into the grave yard and raise the dad would you not ask your self [00:06] who can this be? [00:07] Who can this be that saved our souls? [00:07] Who can this be that gave us eternal life? [00:07] Who can this be that was born of a virgin [00:07] who can this be that lay in a manager [00:08] Herod was asking who can this be that the wise men were going to see [00:08] this is not in the bible but it is the way the world and man thinks [00:08] Who healed you? [00:08] who is always there when you need Him [00:09] who is it that comforts you in times of sorrows? [00:09] And rejoices with you in the happy times of life [00:09] Who can this be that still touches our lives with His love? [00:10] 2000 years man has asked this question? [00:10] we all have asked this question? [00:10] Who can this be? [00:10] the one who is the same yesterday --today -- and forever [00:11] Who can this be? [00:11] it rings through the ages [00:11] THE WORLD AND MANKIND KEEPS CALLING OUT WHO CAN THIS BE? [00:12] well it is up to us to answer that question for them? [00:12] When they ask who can this be? [00:12] Jesus our Lord and Saviour [00:12] Jesus the king of kings [00:12] Jesus the bread of life [00:21] who can this be [00:21] who can this be [00:21] the man who hung from the tree [00:22] He saw you and he saw me [00:22] For by His life we are free [00:23] the answer to all the problems we face [00:23] The healing touch that gives us grace [00:23] For my life I will give all [00:23] To this one who took the fall [00:24] Jesus is the answer you see [00:24] to the question of WHO CAN THIS BE [00:25] WHO CAN THIS BE?
